Type
Competitive EIA (enzyme immunoassay) kit
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse E2. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse E2 and analogs was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between mouse E2 and all the analogs, therefore, cross reaction may still exist.
Intended Sample Types
Cell Culture Supernatants, Plasma, Serum, Tissue Homogenates
Detection
Colorimetric - 450nm (TMB)
Precision
Intra-assay: CV%<15% Inter-assay: CV%<15%
Storage
Short term: 4°C; Long term: see manual.
Quality Assurance
Due to their limited shelf life, LSBio ELISA kits are not typically stocked as finished goods. Upon receipt of an order each kit is assembled and tested to ensure that it meets specifications before shipping. Minor changes may occur to the Range, Sensitivity, and Precision. In the event of a significant change the order would be confirmed with the customer before shipping ELISA kit lot numbers reflect the date of final assembly and testing for each specific kit rather than a bulk manufactured lot. All kits are tested to confirm that they fall within their defined Inter- and Intra- assay coefficient of variation.
Background
This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with goat-anti-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for E2 and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated E2. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled E2 and unlabeled E2 with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of E2 in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
